Destiny

I choose this topic for my discussion for today as I am inspired by the questions of my friends about what their destiny in life would be. Nowadays you can find in the internet so many fortune tellers and psychic who would tell you about your destiny. In fact, I receive dozens of emails from fortune tellers and psychics who are trying to convince me to pay them for their services to tell me about my destiny. They all sound very convincing they say they will do rituals and some sort of incantations to the universe and spells to help me make my wishes come true, they even try to sell me some powerful tiny artifacts to use as talisman or charms to attract wealth or my perfect match in a romantic relationship. They show testimonies of those they say benefited from their services and are now living the lives of complete happiness having their wishes come true in the areas of love, relationships and wealth.

These fortune tellers and the likes prosper in their careers because many people would like to have a change of their life’s destiny from what they feel is unbearable and is different from the kind of life that they dream of. This fact is a proof that many people want to know their destiny in life.

Let’s face it, nobody can tell you what your destiny in life is. Only you can tell because only you who can know yourself from inside out. Where you are and what you are in the present is your destiny. If you don’t like your life now in terms of wealth, love relationship, family relationship, home situation and domicile, career and others such as comforts in life then you should ask yourself, what am I doing in my life?

Nobody else can create a perfect destiny for yourself, only you. It’s just like nobody can eat the food for you, only you can eat your food to nourish your body. Nobody can take a major examination in order to pass for you, you take it yourself.

Destiny is a product of your dreams, your desires, your decision-making, your emotional set-up, your mental orientation and culture.

It is also a product of your gene, upbringing and education or learning processes. You are the creator of your own destiny, a co-creator of your own life. From the womb, God’s miraculous ways take care of your development but once you are out into the world you have to effort physically, emotionally and even as babies you start to demonstrate some tricky behaviors to attract attentions especially when you feel some discomforts or dislike just about anything in your immediate environment.

To sum up: Your destiny is your life now, the present life, you had created it knowingly or unknowingly as you live your life in every stage. You can change your destiny by changing your mental orientation, nobody else can do that for you.
